David Wiener’s creativity includes writing, beginning with marketing and advertising in the early days, as a requirement to promote his products and services, and later, with articles, and then promotional books, and in 2025, the publication of his memoir, ACCIDENTAL MADNESS. Written by David without ghostwriters, as is so prevalent today, David’s story is a wild roller coaster of ups and downs, as inspirational as it is hysterical. David’s determination to achieve was so powerful it often overruled risk, whether working underwater or under cars, high atop ladders hanging his commercial speakers, or bolting himself onto speeding cars to test ski aerodynamics, but these were just physical dangers. David’s extraordinary life has influenced multiple industries and been transformed by amazing people, from Ayrton Senna to Bill Gates, Peter Gabriel, Billie Jean King, and many others. David has also penned blogs and articles for such publications as The Road Rat, one of the most highly regarded automotive journals published today.

Combining discussions on design, engineering, business, art and culture, David’s ideas and words, continue to surprise and inspire as he is invited to present new pieces and speak to businesses, special interest groups and university students about his endeavors and experiences.

Park Record Article about David Wiener

For the past nine years, Park City-based engineer David Wiener, the founder and chief executive officer of David Wiener Ventures, DWV Entertainment and Respect the Music Foundation, has focused on fine-art. Be Prepared… Creating A Simple Product Requires Tons Of Work.

As a serial entrepreneur who has designed and created a broad spectrum of products, I’ve had my share of projects that figuratively fried my brain and kicked another part of my anatomy. Planning any major product – and subsequent launch – is like a cosmic to do list that requires you to think through every tiny detail, plan three steps ahead for contingency, and even then…

“Good Enough” – Don’t Let This Attitude Kill Effort and Quality

"Good enough…Isn’t!” That’s my motto that I have had to use far too often in business, and life. I’ve spent a career trying to innovate and create amazing products, fashion, vehicles, technology, brands, etc., and far too often, I have run into the growing culture of Good Enough. People seem to say it more and more: It’s good enough. What is this about and why are people so willing to settle?

Corporate Culture… Building A Wall or Breaking It Down?

A couple of months ago I was asked to moderate a panel at the Thin Air Conference in Park City, Utah. The panel discussed Corporate Culture – the good, the bad, and the sensible, in a start-up, and in a grown business. Having applied my own ideas and experience at building company culture for a variety of companies, I was excited to participate. Plus, having experienced the cultures of client companies, I thought I could make a contribution.

Get A Grip… Uber & Lyft

In 1967, when Tatsuo Yoshida’s anime Mach GoGoGo (better known to us as Speed Racer) hit television, kids went wild. Especially this kid, as the sound of roaring engines filled the room and that infamous jingle began, “Here he comes, here comes Speed Racer. He’s a demon on wheels.” It was the perfect show, at the perfect time, as I was already a race car fanatic at the age of 9; the adrenaline rush of racing having subconsciously wormed its way into my psyche. This grip held me as I realized my racing dream years later when I too would begin racing; a demon on wheels.

Art Matters

What’s going on? According to recent studies, school field trips to museums have dropped precipitously across America. Financial constraints and a pervasive thought process that such student trips are an unnecessary frill, have eroded our children’s exposure to art, culture, and history. Such trips are no longer seen as enrichment, but divvied out as reward programs. Should we be concerned?
